"Hannah Tana"

Tonight Jaycie & I watched the Hannah Montana movie, or Hannah Tana as she calls her :) It is such a cute movie and Jaycie especially loved all the songs and dancing. It is so hard to believe that we have come this far from our days of Baby Einstein, but my little boo is growing up! Tomorrow we are off to the Volusia County Fair with my parents....boo is looking forward to "rides & junk food!" I taught her well, lol.

Face painting

It seems as if my boo has a new "favorite" thing...face painting at Disney! We spent Wednesday night at Epcot with Grandpop (my dad) and that is all she wanted, even picked out a Tinkerbell pattern. It amazes me that she will sound like I am hurting her when I try to wash her face or comb her hair, but she sat COMPLETELY still for 10min while they painted her face! Silly girl. I was so proud of her sophisticated palate that night as well. We were able to enjoy the Food & Wine Festival and she ate nearly everything we got; Arepa (corn & cheese cake), maple salmon, chedder cheese soup, Irish cheese, Fisherman's stew, Canneloni, Pot Stickers, Cheese & Chorizo quesadilla...and more! What a big 2 year old :)

Sick

My poor baby has the tummy bug :( She has been sick, throwing up since last night. I feel so bad for her, she just looks sad. I hope this runs its course rather quickly and that by some strange luck, I don't catch it. This sounds very sad, but I am so proud of her. She has "learned" to throw-up in the potty or in the bucket...impressive for a 2yr old. She asked to sleep w/ her bucket in her crib tonight, told me she didn't want to "frough-up on ele" (her elephant). Feel better baby girl, mommy loves you!

(I will post about Halloween later, great pictures!)

Green Meadows Farm

Today we went to Green Meadows Farm in Kissimmee and all I can say is WOW! We were invited by a mom I met who is part of a local moms club. Everyone was so friendly and Jaycie really had a great time with the other kids. This place was wonderful! She got to pet chickens, ride a horse, feed the sheep, pet donkeys, go on a train ride, a hayride, pick a pumpkin...and the top of the day was she held 2 baby chicks! I was so proud of her, she said every animal name and the sounds they made. My baby is growing up so fast.

Day off

Well, somehow I ended up with 5 days off from work and Jaycie & I are enjoying every moment of it! Yesterday we drove to Tampa to see Rose and baby RJ! He is beautiful! My good friend Tiffany was in from NY visiting as well. It was really great to spend some time with the girls, even if Jaycie didn't want to have a "sleepover." (We drove home at 9pm). Today was a great, relaxing day. We went food shopping, played at the mall and went to eat at Smokey Bones...YUM. One thing I love the most is the time we spend reading together. Every night we read at least 3 books and Jaycie couldn't be more enthralled. She got her new books from her school book fair today and "Pinkalicious" and "Purplelicious" are going to be favorites soon, I'm sure :)

Elmo Live

Yesterday we went to Elmo Live and it was fantastic! Jaycie danced and sang and clapped along to all of the songs. My favorite part was watching her face everytime a new character came on stage, they were ALL there. She insisted they were "hers." "MY ELMO, MY ZOE, MY ABBY!" The little girl next to us kept saying, "no, they mine." Have to love toddlers :) After the show we had a yummy lunch at Friendly's, followed by ice cream sundaes!

Halloween is starting!

Last night we had the Debary Golf & Country Club Halloween party and it was a blast! Jaycie dressed up in her Ariel costume but insisted on wearing a "one-y" (onesie) under because it is itchy. She ate lots of yummy food and candy...the tops to all of our cupcakes were candy corns, she picked them all off. Dancing with all the kids was her favorite part, I have to get the pictures from my mom so I can post them. Being that it is still in the high 90s, we left early to go back and swim. Our "antic" by Jaycie was...."nooney just a bit." She did not want to get dressed after the pool and was trying to convince me to let her stay naked just a bit longer :) Love you so much boo!

Potty Training

We are starting to have some success with potty training! Jaycie is often requesting to wear "big girl panties" and will use the potty when she has them on, I am so proud of her. We have a chart & she has been doing so well, I promised her a new toy after she got 10 stickers. Today she chose to make a lamb at build-a-bear :) What made me smile even more than achieving this milestone was the outfit she chose for her lamb....scrubs! Out of all the pretty dresses and costumes in the whole store, she asked for scrubs and a stethescope and told me "baa baa like mommy." Ok, I cried because it made me realize how much she understands and loves what I do. Who knows, maybe my boo will be in health care when she grows up.

After our build-a-bear outing we went to Steak & Shake for a burger and milkshakes, YUM!

New Blog

Ok, I am FINALLY starting this blog as a way to document all the silly things by little girl does on a daily basis. I have been horrible at keeping a baby book and am so afraid I am going to start forgetting all her milestones....so here we go :)

I want to start with a recent silly statement. Jaycie & I stayed at Disney's PopCentury resort the other night (9/23). We were in the Magic Kingdom until they closed at 8, took the bus back to the hotel and arrived a little after 9pm. She saw a splash-park area and wanted to play but we didn't have a swimmy diaper on....thought I could convince her to go to the room for one and sneakily put her to bed. Fat chance :) She asked if we could go swimming, I agreed. Why not, it was late but who cares? Well, we were in the pool, swimming and Jaycie was in her "tubey." She starts swimming in circles singing, "simming in the dark, simming in the dark," and smiling like she was all that! Too adorable and I hope I don't ever forget that moment.

Here are some pics from that trip.
